Everybody I know now has a webcam so I was feeling left out
and started looking for a webcam for my Mac. I eventually
decided on the Logitech Quickcam Mac and will tell you now why
I chose it. I spoke to several people online who used
their webcams quite a lot with their Mac’s and they all told me
that the best bang for your buck so to speak was the Logitech
Quickcam Mac as it gives such a clear picture and the sound it
produces is also excellent.
Well that was enough for me so out I went and bought myself
the Logitech Quickcam Mac and me lacking in technology
experience was slightly worried about setting it up outside of
the box but I really should not of been. Upon getting
home I unboxed my Logitech Quickcam Mac and followed the
instructions. Apparently the most important thing to do
is install the drivers first and then plug in your Logitech
Quickcam Mac so that’s exactly what I did.
So what happened? Well I installed the drivers, found
a spare USB slot on my Mac and fingers crossed plugged in my
Logitech Quickcam Mac and hey presto it come up after about a
five second delay. I was literally looking at myself
within thirty seconds and then started playing around with the
software but I eventually just left it to auto settings as
these were excellent on the Logitech Quickcam Mac operating
software.
The following is the specifications for my Logitech Quickcam
Mac:
• Image when Still: 1280 X 960
• Interface: USB2.0
• RightLight Technology with RightSound Technology both
Logitech Quickcam Mac Patented
• The Quickcam has a built in microphone
• Comes with a flat panel monitor clip so you can
literally rest your webcam on top of your monitor with
ease.
• Software
I like to use my Logitech Quickcam Mac quite regularly now when
I am chatting online via MSN and even better then that is the
free calls I make with Skype I can now have video calls to my
long distance relatives which is great. My camera
provides a great picture and the sound does not sound muffled
or distorted, its so good that I turned my webcam to point to
the TV so one of my relatives could see a funny sketch on my
television complete with the sound!
I absolutely love my Logitech Quickcam Mac and would
recommend it to anyone and its not even that expensive!
Its great if you are chatting to your nephews and they want to
show you a picture they drew at school and they just hold it
up! I am now thinking about getting some of my friends a
Logitech Quickcam Mac for Christmas as I want to be able to do
a multiple video conference call, something I would never of
dreamed of attempting just a few short months ago but this web
camera has made it easy.
